Well, hello world.
I've never had a blog before, and after reading lots of other peoples I thought I'd have a go at my own.
My main reason for it is to keep a track on my journey through the world of weightloss and exercise.
So, as its the first one let me give you some info about me!
My name is Ria. I am 26 years old and have just got married. The meaning behind my blog name: Butterflies (as in the programme with Wendy Craig, where my name is from) and Beers (my main vice when trying to lose weight)
This was Me (on the left) 2007
I have struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember. There are photos of me when I'm a child and I look like a plump little squidge of a child! and as I've grown up my weight just went up and up. I completed a Sports Science degree in 2006. During my time at Uni I was captain of the ladies rowing team, worked out at the gym and enjoyed myself. However, I drank a lot of beer and ate a lot of very unhealthy food.

Once I had graduated I moved in with my boyfriend (now my husband) and some other friends. We all still lived like students, we had a beer fridge in the living room!
Then on 31st October 2007, was sat at the computer eating a pizza and drinking beer alone. And i thought, 'What the hell are you doing Ria?!"
Within 2 minutes I had found the Weight Watchers website, and found a meeting near me that was happening within 2 hours of me looking.
So off I went to my first ever Weight Watchers meeting. I was very nervous, but the ladies and gentlemen there and the leader were very welcoming and I was soon at ease with the situation. That was until I got on the scales.....
14st 13lb!!!
I was horrified.
So then began my journey.
Over the next 3 years i managed to get my weight down to 11st 5lb. I did this while qualifying as a lifeguard, and then going on to become a gym instructor.
And then the weight started to go back on....and it crept up to just over 13st. I have managed to get the weight back down to under 13st, but i need help
I am now a qualified Personal Trainer...ironic that i struggle so much with me weight and have a terrible relationship with food right?
So here goes again....
