Day 10 of the broken ankle

I've still been using my weight watchers pedometer, and have set the goal to earn 2 points a day. (in normal non-broken ankle times i was earning about 10 a day!). I've managed to do it, just by doing a few upper body exercises and getting around the flat on my crutches.
I've noticed a difference in my arms, triceps are gaining more definition!

Speaking of Weight Watchers, what does everyone think of the new "pro points"? I've cancelled my membership because of the change. This is because the whole thing is soooo money grabbing! The old point system has worked for over a decade, why change it? It means my all my books etc are out of date. So I decided to go at it on my own. Lets see how it goes.


To keep myself occupied I've started making christmas decoration for the flat! And we've also started looking for a new place to live, so I've been organising viewings.

I officially become unemployed this week before starting the personal training job, so I'm currently trying to apply for some support from the government. Which annoyingly, is proving more difficult than I hoped. Is it this hard for all the scummers who live on benefits?

Laid up....

Well, as you can tell I've not been here for a very long time!

I've broken my ankle so have a lot more time on my hands!

Anyway....what's been going on with me. Not a lot really lol. I start my new job on the 15th December now (was supposed to be on the 2nd). I'm still off to london next week for a course, which should be exciting! just got to try and get around on my own lol.

So i'm sure some of you are asking how on earth i managed to break my ankle 2 weeks before starting a personal training job right? To cut a long story short....when the signs on the escalators say "dont climb/slide" you really shouldnt! So that happpened in london, and then we had to fly back. Was very exciting though, I got a lift on and off of the aircraft. Which was fab!

I'll send a few pictures off my phone so you can see the damage. Luckily there is no need for surgery, which is good news. should be out of cast by the new year.

So the way im looking at it is, new year, new start,

Im going to try and keep active (within reason) while in plaster, and not let myself put on weight. So me and the husband sat down and we've set some goals for me and planned the meals for the week.

And now I have all this time on my hands, I'll be able to keep you updated!

if anyone has any tips and advice on keeping fit while on crutches/in plaster they would be greatly received!

what a week....!

its been somewhat boozy and food fueled....so a gain is on the cards for tomorrows weigh in. But thats ok, have been talking my lovely husband and we are developing som weekly goals for me to try and stick to. Decided cutting out alcohol wasnt something i wanted to do, so instead I'm going to drink only once a week and stick to vodka diet cokes and only maybe have 5 or so. Rather than just going mad on it! that way i wont be hungover the next day and can get my Shred DVD done!

So as much as there will be a gain I do feel positive about it. Just hope it continues!

feeling alright.....

Well so far the weekend is going ok. Over points, but ive got plenty time to earn bonus points!

went to the weight watchers ball last night with my mum. was enjoyable:
got to wear my wedding dress again which was nice!

did a stupid thing as well, had my pedometer on yesterday and got in the pool! its not waterproof and its broken! gutted....have ordered another one. but im still gutted lol.

At least the sun is out!

I havent really posted much, I've not been very well recently. But not sure what's up, have to wait until next week to get some test results.

Anyway, I've had a great week food wise, and been walking around and earning extra points.
I was going to walk to work this morning, but i've had a lot to catch up with around the house. So have run out of time!

Feeling pretty good today. Got the food planned for the day, and im excited! Have got kebabs that are homemade, loooowwww points for lunch. Followed by a weight watcher friendly Carbonara this evening.
I have my family staying over this evening, so I'm cooking for them.

On another note....I washed a £10 note. Was devestated, and then I have realised it has survived! woo hoo!

its a little bit blue, from the dye in the pocket it was in. But i still have it! has made my day haha!!
